Starting its journey as SmartiPants Technologies, MAichatron has always had youth and community upliftment embedded in its DNA. Believing that Africa's future lies in equipping the youth and professionals with the skills needed to thrive in the fourth industrial Revolution. The company focussed on transferring future forward skills in mechatronics, robotics, drone technology and AI to future generations.
As SmartiPants, MAichatron partnered with clients such as, Uber, Vodacom, Microsoft, eThekwini Municipality, Qhakaza Girl IT, MUT, and Innovate Durban, to create a robust skills pipeline for the African economy.
Through our work in education and skills training, we recognising a gap in the industry, MAichatron expanded into the EdTech space, manufacturing and supplying robotic kits to schools, the department of education, and corporate clients such as Vodacom. The main goal being to bride the knowledge gap in STEM education and cultivate the next generation of South African innovators.
1800 youths educated and exposed to coding, robotics, and 3D printing through weekly lessons and masterclasses.
250 Educational robotic kits created and distributed to Vodacom and the Department of Education.
